I am developing an alarm application that works on every device I have tried except HTC One with candy on Android. The user interface of the application works as expected, but when an alarm is triggered by a ring, nothing happens, there is no sound, and there is no Stop button.
Unfortunately, HTC is not mine alone, so I only have rare and short access to it, I canβt connect it to my computer to view magazines. I have Genymotion, but this only has emulation of HTC One with Android 4.4. My anxiety did a great job of this. I also tried both xperia Z and Galaxy SIII with both lollipop and did a great job of it. It also worked with many other devices with earlier versions of Android.
Therefore, I hope for possible explanations or possible mechanisms for diagnosing the problem. Or perhaps some alternative device available in genymotion that has some key features common to HTC.
EDIT: FYI phone did not reboot between alarm setting and alarm time. Indeed, the test simply set an alarm to turn off after one minute.
EDIT: This app is actually an old unfinished project that I am resurrecting. I use the beta as my personal anxiety (not just waking up, but meeting on specific dates and a countdown timer). He worked reliably for me for more than a year without any problems, in the galaxy sII and sIII. Alarms remain active even after shutdown and reboot.
