Client disconnected during login

After upgrading our SQL Azure machines to version v12, we will get some supernatural exceptions that we did not have when we tried to run commands against it.

Inner exception information (level 1): Exception type: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException Exception message: Client disconnected during login A severe error occurred on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded.

Is there something else you have and how did you solve it?

Edit: We have three regions of the EU, the USA and Asia. However, we only face this problem in Asia.

This was a connection issue on the Azure SQL side. You should only see this problem if MARS is enabled in your connection string.

A fix has been identified and should be installed very soon in data centers in Asia.

We contacted Azure support and received the response “Wir haben aktuell Verbindungsfehler in the unsafe western Europe region of festestellt”, that is, “there is currently a connection problem”, but there is no additional information about any solution or time interval when the problem will be solved. .

I just restarted my webapp which solved the problem. update: from time to time the problem occurs again.
