Criteria for choosing a simple Apache Synapse Vs WSO2

Evaluating various ESBs, I came across Apache Synapse and WSO2. In WSO2, he mentioned that WSO2 makes full use of Synapse and is built on top of it.

However, I still do not understand what additional features does WSO2 offer for Synapse? (In addition to commercial support).

The only difference I could see was the web interface for managing proxy server definitions, creating sequences, etc. Are there any other features that WSO2 provides for Synapse? Also, please share if there are any recommendations for choosing between Synpase and WSO2

I just wanted to make sure why I am switching to WSO2 through Synapse.

Thanks Harish

The WSO2 ESB offers many great features on top of the synapse. I list a few here.

  • A graphical management console for creating / managing / monitoring proxies / APIs and services.
  • Support for many transports [1].
  • Support statistics, logging and auditing.
  • Support for many types of content
  • And industry-proven proven performance.

The list goes on and on. Therefore, I am contacting you with the WSO2 documentation of functions [2]. I hope you can get some idea from there.
