Recently, I had to improve the SOAP communication between me and the web service. After creating the private key file on my server and after creating / sending the CSR, the certificate file was received in PEM format.
I want to check it in SOAPUi, but it keeps saying that Error: access is denied. Requires SSL client certificate .
Here is what I did:
Certificate Conversion
openssl pkcs12 -export -out **certif.p12** -inkey **myprivatekey.pem** -in **Certificate-received.pem**
Import Storage
keytool -importkeystore -deststorepass **changeit** -destkeypass **changeit** -destkeystore **pierrejks.jks** -srckeystore **certif.p12** -srcstoretype PKCS12 -srcstorepass **tenzin** -alias 1
In SOAPUi,
I went to settings and in the SSL Settings tab,
keystore was installed as pierrejks.jks
Cache Password Provided: changeit
client authentication required.
In the project now (right-click on the root of the project, then select "Show Project"), I went to the WS-Security Configurations , keystore tab to add a new source.
- The source is the path to the pierrejks.jks file.
- Password changeit
- The default alias is set to pierrealias
- Alias Password Provided
After filling this information, the status became normal
A configuration with the new WSS-Entry Encryption has been added in the outgoing WS-Security settings .
- Pierreconf configuration name

Finally, the request is executed using the pierreconf of the Outgoing WSS Profile, which means I have an error. At the moment, if I understand correctly, the RAW tab shows that it is encrypted:
