Ipython% matplotlib gives "ImportError: No module named move" even though hosts are installed via pip

This one is driving me crazy. I searched the Internet for tips, but not many threads like "ImportError: No module named xxxxxx" turned out to be very useful.

I have already installed Python2.7.

Then I installed python Anaconda, added $HOME/anaconda/bin to PATH and launched ipython notebook

What exactly causes the error here? The moves package seems to be installed, which means six . What does it mean that the moves package in the cond list has a <pip> in the third column?

I assume you have two ipythons installed, check which one is running on the linux shell:

$ where ipython if you find that non-anaconda is working, clear “clean python”, $ sudo pip uninstall ipython and check the path to see if you have binaries pointing to anaconda ipython, since in my case you can see / home / henry / anaconda 3 / bin $ echo $PATH $ /usr/local/heroku/bin:/home/henry/.cabal/bin:/home/henry/Library/Haskell/bin:/home/henry/.bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/games:/usr/games:/home/henry/bin/scala/bin:/home/henry/anaconda3/bin:/home/henry/bin/rebar3

I found another solution to this problem. Basically you can comment / delete only this line from ipython_config.py in profile_default

 c.InteractiveShell.deep_reload = True

Introduction:

Why has everything become more complicated while the Anaconda package manager promised him the utmost ability to simplify python package maintenance nightmares?

Well python Stud suffered during the first decade due to the lack of any universal working package management tool (all-to-bid).

There is no need to repeat what it costs to support multiple dev / test / prod environments, spanning multiple O / S families / versions and an endless list of all configuration constellations.

Fortunately, [Anaconda] + conda Toolkit is a possible solution to this.

In addition, the [Anaconda] / conda brought the working illusion of having several separable constellations [python] + [a-set-of-deployed-packages] (called environment and both named and on / off) to be able to have one application and many (alternating) [ python + environment ] test beds for verification and RTO code.

Q: What exactly causes the error here?

The moves package seems to be installed, which means six , which at first glance seems positive, however [Anaconda Documentation] suggests and does not recommend mixing Indo-European packages / updates / absorption / etc with any other approach (including pip install )

Q: What does it mean that the movement package in the conda list has <pip> in the third column?

Yes, in the order above. It’s best to check the [Anaconda] sources for more information on the best package management practices and working approaches.
