How to add multiple CSS rules at once through Dev-Tools or Firebug

I have 300 lines of CSS consisting of many rules that I need to check on the page.

I would prefer to insert the rules in one pass at the bottom of main.css, which is used by the page, or add a pseudo-page sheet "extra-main.css" to the page with my rules.

I currently do not have access to the page source, so I need to work on a live page. I don’t know what I know.

What would be the best way to do this? Firebug, DevTools (Chrome), something else ...

In the Chrome DevTools Elements panel, click the source of the element, insert your CSS for testing, and press Ctrl + S to see the updates. You can click any element on the page that you want to check while the source CSS file acts on it.

In Firebug, it looks like Chrome DevTools, I just found out.

  • Open firebug
  • Select CSS Tab
  • Select the css file you want to modify
  • Choose Live edit
