USB Autostart on Mac

The other day, I received a direct marketing USB drive in the mail. As soon as I inserted it into my test Mac, he opened Safari and wrote the address of the website he wanted to visit. This was the same behavior on my test pc.

Now I was on the assumption that OSX does not have an autostart function. I run 10.10.3, and I canโ€™t even find the device under the disk utility.

Any ideas on how they do this? The only thing I can think of is that he agrees to the service of an assistant, but I have never used any products of this company before.

How can I examine the contents of USB if I cannot find it on my mac?

I canโ€™t even find the device under the disk utility.

This beacause is not a disk device, but a USB HID "keyboard". The stick sends the key codes that will automatically open the site.
