Delete a completed angular project built with Yeoman

I used the yoman project for scaffolding angular, but now I have a problem to delete all the contents in the root folder, this folder is “node_modules”, I can’t delete it. My OS is win7, does anyone know how to completely delete a project?

I ran into the same problem when I tried to remove a node-based application in my own windows 7 window. I used this tool to delete a folder.

http://www.osmstudios.com/projects/path-too-long

It is written in Java, so this is the only requirement. Its free and open source.

This can easily be done with a built-in Windows tool called robocopy, which basically clones one directory into another. Create a new empty directory in the same place and use robocopy as shown below.

mkdir new_dir robocopy /MIR new_dir long_name_dir

Create a drive letter mapping.

 subst x: C:\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3\Folder4\Folder5

Then go to x: and delete the files (they now have a smaller path)

Then remove the mapping

 subst x: /D

Using this tool is a java tool that does not require installation and works great

When you try to remove windows, they bring up a dialog box that says: the folder contains items whose name is too long for the trash. Win7 cannot handle this; you can use the 7-zip file manager to delete them.

if you have winrar installed on your PC, right-click on the folder of your application, click "add to archive" then check "delete files after archiving", and then delete the archived file. :)
