I got a strange case for the widget today. My application has a widget to show some information to our user, the widget has a button on it. The user can click a button to get various information. Here is a strange thing. I am developing a new version of my application. I need to check this out. When I install the new special version application in the old version, my widget is not responding. no update, no response when I click the button. So I did some test cases to solve this problem.
- I am installing a new ad hoc application on a phone without an old version application. The widget can respond.
- I install an older test application than the application, and then update it from the application store, Widget can view.
- I am installing an older test application than the application, but I am updating it from the ad hoc archive with the same version from the application store, Widget cannot respond.
If I remove the widget and add it to the view today, the widget will still not be able to respond. All widgets that cannot respond can respond again if I restart my iphone.
Does anyone have the same situation? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
