IOS 8.3 Mobile Safari disables emosion display

Apple recently released iOS 8.3. They added a lot more Emojis, and all of them are now displayed in mobile safari. For example, β–Ά the emoji icon will be displayed. is there any way to turn off rendering of emosing? For example, using CSS or JavaScript?

Yes, you can disable them based on character by character using the correct glyph.

In the following example, the black triangle on the right is displayed as emoji, since no options are specified.

However, if you specify the correct glyph for the variant, you will get text.

 ▶︎ 

Generally speaking, ︎ gets the text version and ️ or else doesn’t ask you the emoji version.
