How to remove shadow from glyphics in carousel download

I have a carousel on my site. The right and left arrows of the glyphics that come with it are surrounded by a square gray box of shading. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to remove the shading, so I have arrows. Should I rewrite bootstrap css?

I had this problem before, just add this as bootstrap offers a shadow as a background image and / or as a filter

.carousel-control.left, .carousel-control.right { background-image:none !important; filter:none !important; } 

And as suggested before I changed the opacity, but to 1
