Android Build Tools 1.1.0 - Lint not working with unknown id number "ImproperProjectLevelStatement"

I updated the application using android gradle build 1.0.0 tools to 1.1.0. Now Lint fails:

LintError: Lint Failure Unknown problem identifier "ImproperProjectLevelStatement"
