SAML with the EWS API

Question

I set up an ADFS server that trusts the parties' proxy configured for Office 365. I can authenticate users to O365 using the ADFS server. Can I use the SAML token issued by this ADFS server and retrieve calendar or mail data using the EWS sharing API?

Do you have DirSynced ADFS and O365 (which uses Azure Active Directory)?

If so, have you looked at the Office 365 REST API ?
