The toolbar turns off when I use the setting

Question

I use the toolbar as in this article by Google developers ( appcompat-v21 )

It works fine except when I click on my editText. I set in the manifest:

android:windowSoftInputMode="adjustPan" 

But when the keyboard goes under my editText, the toolbar turns off.

Any way to solve this problem?

EDIT: adjustResize does not work in Lollipop and Kitkat, in JB yes.

EDIT2: this is caused by: when I set it to true.

Try adjusting Resize in code. It should work fine.

 android:windowSoftInputMode="adjustResize"
