During development today, I needed to clear my browser data in order to test some cached information. I chose only cached images and files, cookies and plugins. After that, my development environment ceased to be recognized in the same way in chrome (version 40.0.2214.91) and began to search in google instead.
When I enter http://0.0.0.0:8080 or even 0.0.0.0:8080/ in the address bar, a fine is applied to the object. When I click on links on a local site that point to pages like http://0.0.0.0:8080/category/index.html , I get to the correct page. Only when I try to enter a URL, for example http://0.0.0.0:8080/category/index.html manually, what did he decide that he should search on the Internet and not go to the correct page as before. There are no extra spaces on both sides of the URL.
When testing this in Firefox, everything works fine. In my development environment, nothing has changed if you did not include cache and cookies in Chrome.
Other similar issues seem to solve the problem only in terms of the local server configuration (MAMP, XAMP, WAMP), but I do not use them to maintain my site. I am working on installing jekyll, which serves the site for me, and the config.yml values are correct, which is confirmed by the fact that the site works fine in Firefox.
