You have already activated rake 10.1.1, but your Gemfile requires rake 10.4.2. Providing `bundle exec` in your service may solve this problem.

"You have already activated rake 10.1 .1, but your Gemfile requires rake 10.4.2. Turning bundle exec into your team can solve this problem. (Gem :: LoadError)" I encountered this problem. I tried with other existing answers in stachoverflow. But the problem is still not resolved. Can someone suggest ... please.

Thanks in advance.

gemstones list | grep rake

if you see two versions of rake then

 gem uninstall rake -v 10.4.2

Run the package update to fix version issues. This is fixed for me, and I was getting the exact error like you.

You need to update Gemfile.lock. Do it:

bundle update rake
