Just today, I tried to run through Rscript code on the old server. My script received an unexpected error:
Error: could not find function `paste0`
It turned out that the version of R installed on the server was old (2.14). paste0 appeared with later versions of R. On the help page of paste0 (or any other R function, as far as I know) the first version supporting it is not mentioned.
My question is: is there a way to find out the version in which this function was introduced? Something like the Since: section in the java documentation. Thanks.

I can formulate my question better. Is there a reason why this information is not provided directly on the help page? If so, what is it? If not, should the following R releases provide it?
