Notepad ++ replaces letters when I put something infront

This is a little difficult to explain, but if I go back to the text and press the spacebar, it does not move the whole text, it just replaces the character in front of the place where I want to place the space with the space, How can I stop this? This basically makes it almost impossible to fix the code.

I spent a little time reading in notepad ++, but nothing seemed to be useful, I’m sure it recently became like that, but I didn’t use it after a couple of months.

PS. its not only if i put a space, but any letter or number.

Below is a link to a YouTube video that demonstrates my problem:

It looks like you accidentally pressed the insert key on your keyboard and switched to overwrite mode. Check the lower right corner of the screen - OVR it say INS (insert mode) or OVR (overwrite mode)? Try pressing the insert key once to see if it solves the problem. In addition, you can switch the overwrite / insert mode by clicking on OVR or INS in the lower right corner.

You may have turned on replacement mode. Try pressing the insert key on your keyboard to switch modes.

At the bottom of the RIGHT you will see OVR, which means that you are in overwrite mode

Press the OVR button, and you will switch to Insert mode, and there you will see INS.

Usually there is a "Paste" key, in addition to the "Delete" key on the keyboard, you need to pay attention to it when typing. And in the lower right corner, the “IN” or “O” indicator shows “Insert” or “Overwrite”. You can click it to switch modes.

On a Dell laptop, this happens when you press the ins key (lowercase letters over prt sc ). Press fn + ins and it will return.
