CiviCRM CiviMail Images are relative URLs

When using CiviMail WYSIWYG to compose a newsletter, by clicking the option to insert an image, and then selecting β€œview server”, then downloading the image and pasting it, you will get a broken image in the sent message, because it uses the relative URL for the image.

Given that this is CiviMail and its sole purpose is to send out mailings, does this seem to have to be learned and replaced before being sent? Is there an extension or a way to configure it to fix this? I remember that this was a problem earlier, but thought it was allowed for 4.5. Does anyone know if there is a way to configure without going into wysiwyg direct code and overriding?

  • editor is used in many places besides civimail

  • Perhaps you want to check if the wysiwyg editor has a parameter that defines between relative and absolute URLs. may want to tweak this setting and see if it fixes something.
