MAMP Pro and PDO-dblib

For several days, I used MAMP Pro 3.07 from http://www.mamp.info . Great tool, and everything works great. But now I have a problem that for a new project I need to connect to MSSQL.

I searched howto the last 3 hours at www, but can't find a working answer, or am I stupid?

Is it possible to install "PDO-dblib" on MAMP on OSX Yosemite?

Or can someone explain to me how I can do this?

From a php site :

PDO_DBLIB: This extension is no longer available on Windows with PHP 5.3 or later.

I see MAMP allows you to use different versions of PHP, so if you choose php 5.1.6, it can work. There is also a comment from a guy who wrote his own class for this. I also add you a pecl repository for this PDODblib .

Other than that, I recommend that you use the latest version of PHP and not rely on supported extensions. PDO, which is now used by default with PHP, allows you to connect to MSSQL databases, and you can find the documentation here and here .
