When delivering goods, you can refuse delivery, you do not deliver it from the warehouse, but instead order it to the customer (purchase order) and ask them to directly deliver these goods to the customer. Thus, the goods do not physically arrive at your warehouse / company and are directly delivered to the client from the supplier. When it receives a purchase order (which is automatically created from a sales order), the sales order automatically goes into the "Ready" state.
To configure in Odoo, follow these steps:
Install Drop Shipping Module.
Upon installation, it will create new names for selecting “Dropship”, where you will find the default source location as “Provider” and the default destination as “Client”
In addition, he will create a route that will have a pull rule from the supplier → Customer
In the settings → Configuration → Sales → Sales Functions - select the option “Select MTO, cancel delivery, ... according to customer order lines”, which will allow you to choose a route in a sales order when creating a customer order.
Now create a product for testing and complete the following configuration
Create a sales order and when entering sales order lines, select the route as “Dropshipping” and confirm it, which will generate a purchase order by route for the supplier defined in the product supplier information. When you receive the goods in the purchase order, he will take the customer order in a state of readiness. Now you can see the button that says “View purchase order” that will lead you to the delivery order with a name prefix like “DS ...”
In the created purchase order, under the tab "Deliveries and Invoices" you will find the destination as the location "Customer".
Note: -
In addition, in the Purhcase settings from the installation, if you select the "Routes - Dropshipping Management" checkbox, it will install the dropshipping module.
