Both star and percentage are added using Intelligent Code Completion .

These sentences are based on the analysis of context and code (data is mined) of similar situations. Percentage is probably an indicator of confidence in this assumption.

Protected methods (which were the explanation suggested by Ted Hopp) are actually indicated by a yellow diamond with rounded corners, similar to an outline icon.
