Using Grails with Groovy Dynamic Function Calls

Question

In Groovy 2.1, full support has been added for invokedynamic (see here and here ).

To use this feature, it looks like JDK7 and the "indy" Groovy gang are required.

I am using Grails 2.4.3 with JDK7 and Groovy 2.3, so it seems that this should be possible, and it looks like it would help Grails performance.

My question is this: can Grails use this, and if so, how?
