Failed to load iOS app using Application Loader

Tired of hitting my head against a wall with Apple, so I ask a question here.

The application loader is stuck in โ€œDownloading a package in the iTunes Store ...โ€, showing 616 bytes 37.7 MB (0 bytes / s). Screenshot:

It stays that way for about 20 minutes and then displays an undefined error message:

An exception occurred: the vehicle was detected as having stopped and was interrupted. Try again.

At one point, the progress bar jumped to 10 MB, and it looks like it was downloaded for a while, and then an error message appeared.

The error message does not display information related to the problem, or does not give any hints as to the cause of the problem or potential solution. One line of error indicates "diagnostic mode", but does not provide any additional information. Screenshot below:

I tried the workaround recommended elsewhere, setting "https.proxyPort = 80" in the file "net.properties". It had no effect.

Application Loader has been constantly confronted with problems in the past, on other networks and computers, for no reason apparant. The internet connection I'm on right now is fine. Every other site and service that I use works great. I can upload and download files from other servers, and I was able to send the same application through Google Play without any problems. It goes without saying that it is very difficult to pay the membership fees of developers, but completely block them from sending applications.

Contact with Apple did not help. The first email response said that I need to verify that the address and ports are accessible, and that they are associated with a document using Application Loader .

When I asked Apple what โ€œcheckโ€ means, they replied that they did not want to help, and recommended that they look for solutions on the Internet.

I posted the same question on the dev forums and got no answer. Other posts on the Internet suggest going to the library or downloading from your phone, none of which is a practical solution.

Application Loader has constantly encountered problems in the past on other computers and networks and has caused serious delivery problems to customers. Now this is again a bottle of neck in the delivery application.

Are there any known solutions to the problem? How can I diagnose a problem? What is the "diagnostic mode" mentioned in the error?

I had the same problem. In the Loader application, go to Settings โ†’ Advanced and uncheck DAV. After that, my downloads no longer get stuck at 0 bytes / sec. Good luck.

I found a workaround while playing roulette to find out which transfer protocol to use in Application Loader.

I used telnet to try connecting to each IP address and port listed in the Using Application Loader section. This is as close as possible to checking which IP addresses and ports are available.

An example of a successful connection is as follows:

MacBook-Pro:build luke$ telnet xxxx 443 Trying xxxx.. Connected to xyz.apple.com. Escape character is '^]'. Connection closed by foreign host.

Empty lines get to the input until the connection is closed by the server.

An unsuccessful connection just hangs before the timeout expires, for example:

MacBook-Pro:build luke$ telnet xxxx 443 Trying xxxx.. telnet: connect to address xxxx: Operation timed out telnet: Unable to connect to remote host

I used this approach with all the IP addresses and ports listed in the document. In this case, it turned out that DAV is not available. The IP and port associated with one of the other transfer protocols were available, so I used this.

To change the transfer protocol, go to "Settings"> "Advanced", then check the corresponding box. Uncheck other fields for unavailable protocols.

Make sure all the IP addresses and ports below are accessible from your Mac, http://help.apple.com/itc/apploader/e3#/itc8e7ec5a60
