How can I use the rights to the previous version of Visual Studio 2013?

I have a copy of Visual Studio 2013, and although I mainly use it, I have to work with one specific C ++ SDK, which Visual Studio 2013 does not yet officially support, so I am looking to install Visual Studio 2012 using my Editing Permissions Visual Studio

According to Microsoft licensing information, this should be possible:

For Visual Studio Professional, the software included in the license is the current version of the software, Visual Studio Professional 2013, plus permissions to simultaneously run previous versions of Visual Studio Professional that you may have access to.

(my emphasis)

I have access to a copy of Visual Studio 2012, but I'm still being asked about the license key (which I think is to be expected). How can I license my copy of Visual Studio 2012 using my Visual Studio 2013 license (if at all)?

For Visual Studio Professional

Professional includes an MSDN subscription. This gives you access to many older versions of Visual Studio. Not all of them, VS6 was removed as part of a settlement with Sun over Java. Make sure to activate the subscription , and then visit http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions

You can download VS2012 there. Please note that it is different from the one you already have, the one you download will not ask for an activation key.

You cannot use your rights to downgrade because you do not have it.

You mean msdn downgrade rights, but you are not subscribers of msdn.

written in bold that you publish:

This is the classic language of legal documents:

that you can have access to.

This means that if the package you are buying has an older version, you can use it

you may have access not , you have access
