Profile Profiles Void After Update on Xcode Accounts Tab

Unfortunately, disappointment is here. This problem arose in Xcode 5 about a month ago, and I just dealt with it, hoping that it will disappear with Xcode 6, but I still see this happening in the current release of the Xcode 6 App Store.

When you visit the Accounts tab in Xcode by clicking on an account and clicking the Refresh button to download the provisioning profiles for this user, they all become invalid instead. Then I have to go into the developer's portal and manually restore each of them. The only way to get valid profiles is to download each of them manually from the developer's portal to each of our machines, which is not ideal. Is there a reason why this is happening that I am missing? I have never had this problem before. If that matters, these are not default command profiles, we created and manage ours.

It seems that the problem is resolved for us. The only thing I really did was reset all local provisioning profiles by deleting them from ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles . Not sure if that mattered, but I suspected there might have been some duplicate profiles that were causing other problems in one way or another, and this seems to have been resolved too. If anyone has a definitive answer, you can still post it here.
