IE could not create reports

One of our clients is trying to create reports with a large number of supporting reports, this is a report on one page. If they generate it for 2-3 years, it works for all browsers, but when they generate it for 5 years. The report works fine in chrome and firefox, but IE will not be able to load reports and display the IE window "Internet Explorer cannot load the page."

There are no errors in the eventlog or in the IE console. Even Fiddler does not provide any information why IE was not able to download reports. He says the answer is 200.

The reports were generated successfully since I see this in the log.

I am not sure why this is happening with IE (8,9,10). Please check the images below. enter image description hereenter image description hereenter image description here Thanks

This may be due to the memory management issue in Internet Explorer as you retrieve data for 5 years. There is a problem for the memory problem.

-> Go IIS
-> Open your reporting website
-> Check which application pool uses it -> Right click on it and recycle it.
-> Then try to create a report.

Not sure if your problem fixes.

I recently saw a very similar problem - it started a few months ago, through several constant reports and seemed to be caused by hard or soft page breaks (I found this from a lengthy troubleshooting process).

This scenario was SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 SP1 through the Native / Report Manager portal.

Does your report have page breaks?

My solution was to set Report / InteractiveSize / Height to 1000 cm. Then for each hard page break I turned it off to render the browser by setting the Page Break / Disable property using this expression:

=Globals!RenderFormat.IsInteractive

The result is a bit untidy in the browser, but displays page breaks in other formats (PDF, Word, Excel). Importantly, he stopped browser freeze in IE.

Personally, I moved away from controlling the display of the report. It provides an incompatible display on different platforms (at least in 2013, when I made the lion's share in the conversion of the project).

Instead, I make a PDF (Word or Excel) on the server and use the embed tag to display content for the user. You are guaranteed to know how it looks on the user's screen. A cache level is possible, and it is much easier to work with.
