How to choose the end of a word in intellij-idea / phpstorm

Is there a way to extend the selection to the end of the current word in intellij idea / phpstorm?

For example (ASCII art in front ...)

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. <----------------------->| 

I have an existing selection from the very beginning of ipsum to partial consectetuer. How to choose the end of the word. Pressing CTRL+SHIFT+Right will lead me to the start of adipination. It doesn't really matter when the spacing is small, but sometimes it looks something like this:

 Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. <----------------------->| 

And I have two options: either Right to the end of the current word, or CTRL+SHIFT+Right before adipiscing starts, and then Left back to where I want to be.

Most of the other text editors / IDEs I have used select to the end of the current word. Hope there settings that I cannot find, do the same in PHP Storm!

In the settings, there is only the existing CTRL+SHIFT+Right displayed in "Move Caret to the next word with a choice", and I can not find any settings anywhere to change this.

There is no separate action that simply extends the selection to the word “end of word”, only to “next word”. There is one that “deletes” to the end of the word, but nothing “for choice”.

This ticket seems to be asking what you need, a star, a voice and a comment to be notified of progress. Since it is in the backlog section and has no votes at the moment, I doubt that it will be implemented in the near future.

If you do not need this ticket, feel free to send a new ticket requesting features .

Have you tried ideaVim plugins or emacsIDEAs ? They can support such an action.
