Both folders and folders with folders

As I understand it, in meteor you can have a both folder along with a lib folder. Both folders contain code that relates to both the client and the server, for example, the routes of iron routers or the definitions of meteor collection. Is there a difference between the two folders or are they the same?

Both codes will act as one and the same, only the lib folder will have preference regarding the boot order.

Files in the lib directory are loaded first before they are in the both directory. This can be useful for helpers and constants and things that you need to be prepared before anything else loads.
