Cannot Connect to FTP on NetBeans 8

I am trying to connect to FTP on my server using NetBeans 8.

My problem is that I get this error:

Because NetBeans is running on Windows and JDK 7, you might be facing a problem with FTP operations. Ensure that Windows built-in firewall does not block JDK 7 binaries

None of them seem to work for me. I have windows 7 home premium 64bit with java 7

  • The firewall is turned off.
  • I run the command in CMD as admin and got OK
  • I run netbeans as admin

When I try to connect with FTP to my server, WinSCP is working fine.

I believe your assumption is incorrect based on the impossibility of connecting to FTP. This message is unlikely to be associated with authentication or authorization or by the client, since it indicates that the remote host is not listening on a specific port (since FTP is not considered a secure protocol, many blocks block it). Configure NetBeans to use sftp. Because although WinSCP supports simple (unencrypted) ftp, it is usually used to provide encrypted file transfers using the SSH file transfer protocol protocol . I just changed Configure Proxy to No Proxy, and it worked for me.

The same problem, deciding to abandon the choice of Passive mode in:

Project properties / Run configuration / click the Manage... button to open the Remote connection panel, and uncheck the Passive mode box (checked by default).
