Cassandra's null pointer and no log information

Question

I installed cassandra 2.0. But then I start using it with sudo service cassandra start . The only thing that appears in cassandra.log is Error: Exception thrown by the agent : java.lang.NullPointerException .

How can you understand what is happening there? All I remember is that I changed some JAVA_HOME path in alternatives, not sure if it caused a problem.

I am: Centos 6 java -version 1.7 Cassandra 2.0
