Will Jasmine 2 offer any advantages over Jasmine 1.3 for Transporter?

I would like to dwell on the latest issues. I noticed that Protractor uses Jasmine 1.3 (or is it mini jasmine). With new versions of Jasmine available, are there any additional features that they offer?

Jasmine 2.0 has a few big changes and a lot of internal cleaning.

  • it adds asynchronous testing using the done () function, but this has already been fixed in version 1.3.1, which Protractor uses
  • it simplifies the registration of reporters - it would be nice to have for Protractor
  • it changes the syntax for registering user matches
