Amazon Kindle Development Kit download?

Can I download the Amazon Kindle SDK (KDK) from anywhere? There is a page that introduces KDK on Amazon, but you cannot download it from anywhere. This is also in beta.

This is not a public SDK. You must be a member of the program to download. I'm not sure how you apply more, but developing with KDK was pretty terrible.
