I'm a little confused about displaying my own ad in AdMob advertisements along with setting eCPMs for importance.
I am currently just launching one home ad with the AdMobs network.
In the FAQ and AdMob help section, I came to understand that this will work the distribution.
For example, I set my AdMob effective CPM to $ 5.00 and my in-house ad is $ 0.01, in which case the AdMob ad will only appear if it equals or exceeds $ 5.00 USA. If this does not happen, my ad will appear in the house.
The problem that I am encountering with this particular setting is that there is no home advertising. It's hard for me to believe that every ad that AdMob can highlight has an effective CPM. After a few days, not a single ad was highlighted in the house.
I thought that maybe something was wrong in another area of ββmy setup, so I changed the cost of eCPM, so AdMob is now $ 0.01, and my in-house ad is now $ 5.00. I started getting ads in the house after changing the setting, but this is the opposite of what I understood.
I understand this in the opposite direction?
Ideally, Iβd like to serve AdMob ads as long as their eCPM is high enough, if the effective CPM is not high enough, Iβd like to fill the ad space with my home ad.
I did some reading of the beta test function based on the effective CPM, but I donβt think this is applicable in this situation. Any help is appreciated.
