Display C ++ compilation errors in VS 2013 editor

Question

I am using Visual Studio 2013 with the Power Power Tools extension installed.

Can I adjust the settings so that C ++ compilation errors are flagged in the editor (using short underscores, scroll handles, etc.) in addition to the message in the error list?

Currently, only IntelliSense errors are displayed in the editor.

I tried to go to the “Scrolling” options and making sure that “Show errors” was checked, but nothing helped.

Visual Studio 2013 does not have this option. I opened a request on the MS website.
