ITunes does not currently broadcast anything similar to aim_referrer. If you use Google Analytics to install iOS, GA uses the advertiser identifier (IDFA) to track. When a user clicks on ads from a supported network in the app, the IDFA is sent to Google. Then, when your application starts, the IDFA is sent again and compared to the list of IDFAs that Google stores from previous taps. In this way, they can give attribution.
This is clearly not as clean as aim_referrer, but at best it can be done now. You can also try fingerprints, etc. Using applications, MobileAppTracking, etc., but I don’t know how accurate they are. I heard that they are not very accurate, but they are better than nothing.
Apple has announced the addition of campaign tracking support to iTunes Connect. But we have not heard about this for a very long time. So I won’t hold my breath. Hope this helps!
