Replace MVVM Light with MvvmCross or use both

We have a WP8 application that uses MVVM Light and works great. However, now we want to configure iOS using Xamarin. MvvmCross seems to be the best foundation for cross-platform development.

Does anyone have experience replacing such frameworks? Or an MvvmCross link along with MVVM Light?

Thank you for sharing your impressions.

As Ross said, it's open, but using both is fine. You can use the bindings from MvvmCross on iOS and still maintain your MvvmLight functions.

Edit: the question of which is better is open, but I don’t think the question should be closed, because it is very possible to use MvvmLight and MvvmCross (bindings) together.

This repo has an example of using MvvmCross bindings. There is information about this in this video.
