Polygon Geogeography with iOS

I am trying to find a way to create multiple geofence polygons with iOS. I need to draw several zones in the city to represent areas, streets, etc. From what I have read so far, iOS only allows a circular zone from a device geo-referenced.

  • Is this possible with iOS?
  • Is there any web application for drawing polygons on a map and generating coordinates in an array?

1) iOS allows you to create circular surveys, however, what you are trying to achieve is possible with some additional logic. I developed similar functions, so I suggest you do the following:

  • create a circular geofence that inserts your polygon
  • when the device receives a notification that it is within the circular geofence, start GPS
  • every time you get a location update, check if its coordinates are inside the polygon
  • turn off GPS as soon as the location of the device is found within the polygon, if you do not need to be notified when leaving the polygon as
  • turn off the GPS when the device receives a notification as out of circular geopotential

As you need the geology of polygons, I assume that you expect a good level of accuracy, so in any case, you will need to use an additional GPS layer on top of the geo lens, since geoprocessing is not entirely accurate.

2) Look at these links:
