Why was my iPhone app rejected?

Here is the message that appeared in the iTunes Connect Permission Center:

Causes

3.5: Small and large application icons should be similar so as not to create confusion 3.5

We found that the application icon displayed on the device is not sufficient to match the large icon displayed on the App Store, which does not comply with the App Store Review Guides.

In your case, the application icon displayed on the device is empty.

<More explanation ...>

So, in my opinion, the application was rejected because the application icon is empty on the device, but when I install the application on my iPhone 5 through the Ad Hoc distribution (which is closest to the distribution in the App Store), everything looks fine.

The following is the configuration of the App App icon in Xcode. Does it look good?

Any help would be appreciated.

I found the reason why my application was rejected, and I just want to share a solution for those who face the same problem.

It looks like my application was rejected because the application icon was blank on iPad devices. (Note that iPad devices are still used by Apple App Review testers, although my app is only an iPhone app)

I recently started using images.xcassets to control my application icon and load page images. So I deleted all the related files from my application resources, but the target plist file had some remnants that eventually found a reason for the blank icon on the iPad ...

As soon as I deleted the entry from the plist file named "CFBundleIcons ~ ipad", the problem was fixed.

Thanks @Leijonien for your comment that helped me solve this problem!

You are not satisfied with the app icon requirements

Create different app icons for different devices. If you are creating a universal application, you need to specify application icons in all four sizes.

IPhone and iPod touch require both of these sizes:

120 x 120 pixels 60 x 60 pixels (standard resolution) iPad requires both of these sizes:

152 x 152 76 x 76 pixels (standard resolution)
