IOS - change the application name for Homescreen and Spotlight

I am working on a new iOS application and it has a rather long name, so I am showing the shortened version on the desktop by setting the Bundle Display Name value in the Info.plist file. However, I want to show the full name when the user searches for it through the spotlight. How to implement this?

Your application can have two names:

  • The display name of the package that appears on the main screen (Springboard)
  • The name of iTunes Connect, the name you give Apple when you submit your app to the Appstore

Spotlight indexes both names for the search. therefore, you can have a longer name like the iTunesConnect name and a shortened version of the display name of the package. And both will be searchable.
