Is it possible to track HTTP traffic on Android, knowing which application generates requests?

I was asked to create an Android application that, among other things, should monitor incoming and outgoing HTTP traffic for a set of applications installed on the device. The idea is that the log should be generated using:

Application: xxx requested URL: yyy response from server was: zzz, etc.

I do not think that this is possible at all, without setting up rum and witchcraft there, but even setting up rum, I can’t think of a way to do this, who has any suggestions?
