I'm interested in direct access to the input / output of the radio signal in iOS or Android devices. This may be Wi-Fi and / or cellular radio. I want to get the digital equivalent of a digital waveform, which radio signal comes out of the phone and which radio signal arrives on the phone. Ultimately, the phone transmits and receives radio signals, and then many signals are processed for these signals to turn them into useful information, such as digital data / GSM data, etc.
What is the best way to use the software running on the device to directly access the radio signal that is transmitted outside the device (the raw signal waveform) or the radio signal received by the device (the raw signal waveform)?
I would like to:
- Direct access to the output radio signal.
- Direct access to the input radio signal. This will be the intensity of the unprocessed signal, for example. in samples over time at a high sampling frequency (kHz / MHz). This will be basically the equivalent of what a digital oscilloscope connected to a radio frequency antenna will receive sitting next to the phone itself.
