App Store Hybrid App Approval Process

I want to know what is the process that Apple is following to approve a hybrid app (developed using PhoneGap) sent to the App Store?

I read that PhoneGap is approved by Apple as the basis for creating its own applications, but could not find any recommendations for this.

So, I would like to know some key points that should be considered when developing hybrid applications that will prevent its failure in the application store.
