VS2013 RTM does once per second. R signal asks when I check with violinist

When I check Fiddler, I see that my new VS2013 installation gives continuous R signal requests. I do not use anything in common with this in my application. How can I stop these requests, which I believe are part of VS2013, trying to synchronize something?

This is probably due to the fact that the BrowserLink function is mentioned here . BrowserLink uses SignalR to communicate between VS and your browsers.

Is it possible to exit VisualStudio? It may also help if you tell us where VS is contacting ...

There seem to be two additional calls made by the link to the browser:

  • a one-way call made when the page is rendered at the same port as the site exchanging mapping information between Razor views and elements. This call has __browserlink at the beginning of the URL.
  • periodic call as part of SignalR synchronization. This has a SignalR about 30 characters per URL.

The first, only call I can live with. Another fills my capture story.

To avoid this, in fiddler, I used the option “Hide the following hosts” in the “Filter” tab and placed something like localhost:62533 in the text box. Note that the port number seems to change every time VS2013 is restarted.

While the “Use Filters” checkbox is checked, I still see the traffic I want (plus a one-time call for __browserlink ).
