Is there a way to detach the editor assistant in Xcode in its own window or on a second monitor

Is it possible to have one helper (for example, on my second monitor) that always shows a copy of the file that I am currently editing (on my first monitor)?

I can create a new tab, drag it to my window and show the assistant editor, but, of course, it does not display a copy of the file that I am editing on my main window / monitor.

Is there any way to do this?

No no. But you can always send feedback on the apple regarding what you would like to see in future updates. If this request comes from many developers, there may be a chance to see it added to xcode.

I agree. Focusing on multi-monitor support, this feature is missing.

In Xcode 7.3, I simply double-click the file in the Project Navigator view, and a new editor window opens with the file.
