Can I change the grid of the Gnome 3.10 workspace?

I really like Gnome 3, but I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 13.10 and installed Gnome 3.10.1. Before I could just enable the Workspace extension and install it. Now it shows that this extension is outdated. Is there any other way to configure Gnome 3 to use CTRL + ALT + (any direction of arrow) as a shortcut to change workspaces?

(Look at the link to see what I mean. I want the workspace grid to be 2 tall and three widths)

There is an update for this migerh extension. You can download it here:

https://bitbucket.org/migerh/workspace-grid-gnome-shell-extension/downloads

Download workspace-grid@mathematical.coffee.gmail.com-for-3.10.1.zip and extract it to ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions .

You might want to restart Gnome by pressing Alt+F2 , then typing r and pressing Return . I did not understand how to get a new version of an extension without this.

Now you can activate the extension of the workspace, as usual.

You must also enable static workspaces in the gnome-tweak-tool to take full advantage of the extension if you haven’t done so already: launch the Tweak Tool, go to the Workspaces tab and set the “Workspace Creation” to “Static”, and “ Number of workspaces "to the number you need (6).

Now you only need to pay a little attention when the original extension of the mathematical code is updated. When this happens, you probably want to return to the official version.

I know this is an old question, but I still use the workspace grid on a regular basis, and I'm sure many others do too.

To track the response of toster, you may need to edit the metadata.json file located in the .local / share / gnome-shell / extensions / [grid-workspace] folder. Just change the version of the gnome shell to the version you are running on.

Alt-F2, r, and, hopefully, your "outdated" grid workspace extension will be launched again.
