Upgrading to TFS 2013. The Options tab is empty when the build starts.

I am trying to upgrade from TFS 2012 Update 2 to TFS 2013. After the documentation, I installed TFS 2012.2 on new hardware, backed up / restored the databases, and then installed TFS 2013 as an update.

I see Team Project and builds. The problem is when I right-click on an assembly to queue a new one and click on the "Options" tab, I just get a blank panel. My best guess is the error loading parameters. Note that these builds worked great in TFS 2012.2.

If I create a new assembly from scratch and I use my new default template (TfvcTemplate.12.xaml), I still get the same error.

I do not see errors in the output window or event log.

Turns out this is a known bug with connecting VS2013 to TFS2013

For future reference, this has been fixed in Visual Studio 2013 Update 1 (see KB 2911573 ).
