Is there a way to update extensions in Inkscape

Question

Hopefully I am asking this question in the right area, I am developing a couple of extensions for Inkscape, and I was wondering if there is a way to update extensions like GIMP for script-fu? I searched the Internet and the Inkscape documentation but found nothing.

I was wondering the same thing, and found this answer :

INX files are downloaded only when the session starts - for any updates or newly installed extensions, you must restart Inkscape.

If only the script files of already installed extensions have been updated, there is usually no need to restart Inkscape - the contents of the script files are not cached (the script file is launched using an external interpreter each time the extension is launched).
