Filling an array of model objects using mongoose

Question

This is the circuit I'm using. As you can see, the survey_codes model path consists of an ObjectIds array.

And here is the function I'm trying to use:

 Restaurant .findOne({ id: self.param('id') }) .populate('survey_codes') .exec(function(err, restaurant) { if (err) console.log('Error in view survey codes function'); if (!restaurant || restaurant.survey_codes.length < 1) self.res.send('No survey codes are yet generated.'); else self.res.send(restaurant.survey_codes); }); 

When I execute the function, it gives me this error:

I just can't figure it out. This is the first time that I am posting here, and I noticed that a couple of you guys answer similar questions, but the solution does not work in my case.

SOLVE (!)

Simple typo in my model:

 survey_codes : [{type: ObjectId, ref: SurveyCode}], 

ref to be the name of the model, so 'SurveyCode' !
