Removing a Google Play Beta Member

Is there a way to remove a member from my Google Play test group in the developer console? I deleted them from my Google+ community, and when a user checks their G + commits, my list is not listed. However, when they go to the store and search for my application, they still see and download the beta version.

The user must leave the test. They do this by clicking on the link that you originally provided (for example, the link that they used to enter the test) and clicking "Leave the test."

When you sign in to the Google account where you want to exit BETA, go to the following URL (replacing "your.package.name" with the name of your APK package)

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/your.package.name/leave

You can also send a beta tester at this link.

Is it still the case that there is no way to cancel access to the beta program without user failure?

I am preparing to release the freemium application and would like to prevent our beta testers from continuing to use the free version until our official release. Is there really no way to remove the application from their phones or stop them from opening it?
